Some People Are Just Born To Run
An article by Haile Gebreselassie got me thinking about why I run.
There are probably so many reasons why, but essentially it all comes down to that I was born to run. I'm definitely not the fastest runner, I'm not elite, but the immense satisfaction I get from the sport is incredible. Not too mention that I just don't feel right if I'm not running.

I never would have believed it but I'm starting to think that about myself. Mind you I'm just a back of the packer!
ReplyDeleteThat was a good article. A 2:48 at 16! If only we could all improve our debut marathons by 44 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I like Geb - he's a runner's runner and just loves running. You get the feeling he'd be doing it even if he didn't make a living from it. But his mates wouldn't be saying gee you're keen!
I couldn't agree with you more. I'm not the fastest, but I love running and can appreciate your comment about being able to just run a certain pace.
